Daughter you are Loved 2025
Sonia, the Founder of Daughter You are Loved will be one of the speakers at the event. Sonia understands the pain that is caused by being an "underdog" in a world that judges you by worldly misconstrued perceptions. She has experienced bullying in various forms, which started at an early age and continued into her work life and some relationships. For over 20 years, Sonia's drive for social justice has led her to support and work with vulnerable girls and women, be it through personal friendships, church pastoral care or through her work at Teen Challenge and Safe Families for Children. She has also been an advocate for a human trafficking charity. Sonia has an MA in Social Work and over 25 years experience in leadership and management. Sonia's faith is at the heart of this ministry. She is very passionate and excited about launching this ministry and the first Daughter You are Loved conference. Sonia, along with the team are very excited to meet you and to have an opportunity to encourage and empower you to live life boldly and confidently. Sam Cotterill has over 12 years of experience in counselling and is the Founder of Hope Counselling & Support Services based in Darlington. In her own words she has 'first hand personal experience on bouncing back after many setbacks'. Sam has a BA in Counselling and is an accredited sexual violence therapist and a member of BACP. She is skilled in Emotional Intelligence, active listening skills, compassion and empathy and has a real passion for wanting to help and support you, working with a person-centred approach. Sam will be bringing some practical tools and resources that will impact your life for the better.
